About Me

I'm a recent Economics graduate, trying to keep my head above water learning to trade (mostly FX but following bonds and indices) and treating it as an informal post-grad education. I'm weirdly interested in the relationship between monetary policy and financial markets, and my writing focuses mainly on this. There has hardly been a more important era to understand central bank policy and macroeconomic drivers than now.

This blog also serves as a spot to explain financial concepts to my family and friends that I can't articulate verbally, and to hash out my own theories about macroeconomic events so I can refine my understanding and arguments. Comments and criticisms welcome, being the internet I'm sure I'll find someone to offend - if I haven't, I'm probably not trying hard enough to be contrarian.

This blog is not intended as financial advice. I am not a licensed financial advisor. Do not take anything in this blog as a suggestion to act upon. Seek a licensed professional before making any investment decisions.
